    DESKTOP ONLY

Splitchase is a keyboard-driven racing game built for a desktop browser. It does not run on phones or tablets yet — there are no touch controls, and the track would not draw well enough to race.

Open splitchase.com on a laptop or a desktop computer to play.

    WHAT THIS IS BUILT FROM

    SPLITCHASE
Designed, built and driven into the barriers by Nucc.
    THE CAR
"1967 Ferrari 312" by Dave, on Sketchfab, licensed under CC BY 4.0 — baked into the renderer's own mesh format for the game.
    THE OTHER CAR
"Lightning McQueen Cars 3", a fan model on Sketchfab of the Disney·Pixar character, baked the same way for the garage.
    THE TREES AND THE SCRUB
Cut out of a "Dirt Road Forest Scene", one welded diorama taken apart into the props planted along every circuit.
    THE MOUNTAINS ON THE HORIZON
Cut out of a "Landscape Forest Mountains" scene — photographed rock, turf and forest canopy — into the range that stands round the circuits that have one.
    THE GRANDSTANDS AND THE BOARDS
Cut out of a "Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps 1992 Layout", a whole circuit modelled as a single mesh.
    THE PARKED CARS
A "Generic Passenger Car Pack", baked into the props left along the kerbs of Town Run.
    THE CONES AND THE ROADWORKS
A "Street Prop Pack" — cones, barrels, works barriers, signs, bins and bollards — baked into the furniture of the same street.
    THE TILE AND THE RENDER
The houses on it are modelled here, but what they are made of is cut out of a "European House 1" model's own photography: clay tile, lime render, brick and split stone, retinted into a street's worth of colours.
    THE ROAD SURFACE
"Asphalt 07" from Poly Haven, released under CC0 — two and a half metres of scanned tarmac, laid over the grain the shader was already growing out of noise.
    EVERYTHING ELSE
The tracks, the physics, the cockpit, the sky and the music are the game's own — no engine, no framework, no bundler: WebGL2 and AssemblyScript compiled to wasm.
